Role overview:
At ETM Group, being an Assistant General Manager is a key leadership role and a vital step in your progression within premium hospitality. You are instrumental in delivering exceptional guest experiences, supporting the General Manager in driving performance, and leading from the front to inspire and develop your team.
Across our two distinct business areas — ETM Collection and ETM Sport London — our Assistant General Managers play a pivotal role in bringing each venue to life. Whether supporting refined rooftop dining within the Collection or delivering high-energy, high-volume service in our Sport London venues, you help shape the culture, standards, and energy of the business every day.
Working closely with your General Manager, you will take ownership of key areas of the operation, ensuring consistency, commercial awareness, and an unwavering focus on guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be visible on the floor, driving standards, coaching your team, and contributing to the overall success of the venue.

Proven Experience: You have experience in a senior supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, ideally in a high-quality and fast-paced environment.
Leadership Potential: You are a confident and approachable leader, passionate about developing and motivating your team.
Commercial Awareness: You understand the fundamentals of hospitality financials and support in managing costs, driving revenue, and delivering results.

About ETM Group
It all started with a love of great hospitality.
After studying Law, Tom found himself living above a gastro pub and quickly fell in love with the energy, atmosphere and sense of community that great pubs can create. Inspired by the concept, he bought his first pub with a business partner in 2000 and transformed it into a gastro pub.
Meanwhile, Ed was building his own career after studying Finance in Bristol. When he joined Tom, the business began to take shape and together, they set out to create something special.
What started as a small, family-run business grew steadily year after year. As our ambition grew, so did our portfolio, with the opening of venues including The Botanist in Sloane Square, one of our first larger, food-led concepts.
We continued to grow, opening new venues while staying true to the entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on approach that had been there from the very beginning. A major turning point came in 2015 with the opening of Greenwood, which doubled the size of our team and marked an exciting new chapter for the business. We also began working with prestigious partners including Royal London House and The Montcalm, expanding our reach and creating even more ambitious hospitality experiences.
By 2024, it was clear that our growing business had evolved into two distinct hospitality offerings. To better reflect who we are and where we were going, we created ETM Collection and ETM Sport London.
Today, we are proud to continue growing while holding on to the passion, ambition and entrepreneurial spirit that started it all. From a single gastro pub to a diverse portfolio of venues, our story has always been driven by great people, and we are always looking for more talented people to become part of what comes next.
